Commercial Club Hears Grievances Against Missouri Pacific
The Commercial Club met with Rube Oglesby from the Railroad and Warehouse Commission to air complaints about the Missouri Pacific Lexington branch. Attendees accused poor service to shippers and travelers, noted letters from railroad officials and commissioners promising reform, and discussed granting the commission more authority or abolishing it. Death of Albert T Johnson in St Louis
Albert T Johnson born August 29 1846 in Tolland died Saturday morning in St Louis at 7 30 accompanied home by family. He married Eliza Gates and had two children Mrs Beinker and Albert Johnson both of St Louis. A merchant in the city for over twenty years, he remained active despite poor health. Funeral Monday at 2 PM from John Sturgis residence 1622 Main Street with Rev R B Binney and Odd Fellows at the cemetery.

Two Men Pass Missouri Bar Examinations
Henry Chiles and William Aull Jr. learned Saturday they passed the Missouri bar exams and will enroll in circuit court to become lawyers. Chiles, a William Jewell and Harvard Law graduate. Aull, trained at Virginia University. The Intelligencer offers congratulations. Cornelia Ludwig went to Kansas City for a day trip. Rev T M Cobb attended funeral services for Edgar Youngs in Aullville.

Pastor E C Gordon Earns Missouri Mission Post
At a congregational meeting of the Presbyterian Church Lexington Missouri the Lafayette Presbytery was authorized to present Dr E C Gordon for appointment as secretary of state board of home missions recently made by the Missouri synod committee. Gordon will retire from active pastorship January 1 1911 but remain as pastor emeritus assisting the active pastor with a device and work not conflicting with mission duties. He will receive use of the manse.

Traders Bank stockholders meeting set in Lexington
The annual meeting of Traders Bank of Lexington Missouri will elect directors and conduct bank business. It will be held in the banking room on Monday January ninth 1911 from ten o'clock in the forenoon to five o'clock in the afternoon. W G McCausland president J G Crenshaw and Lee Colburn of Freeman Mo were noted as arrived to visit relatives while Edward Aull traveled to Kansas City on business.
