Memory of Hon John S Blackwell Ends Valor and Faith
The Lafayette County Bar notes the death of John S Blackwell on November 10 1908 at age 76. Born January 8 1832 near Lawrenceburg Kentucky he practiced law in California and Missouri and served as Lafayette County Prosecuting Attorney for eight years. A devout Christian and active Democrat he held Masonic and Odd Fellows offices and left a legacy of public service, family devotion, and faith.
