Reception at Central College Hosts New President Couple
The first social function at the new president's home at Central College took place Thursday with President and Mrs. Gibson greeting guests in the parlor. Afternoon guests were college young ladies, evening attendees were Lexington townspeople. Attendants included Capt. A. W. Rankin and many named staff and faculty. An orchestra provided music and refreshments were served, reflecting cordial relations between college leadership and Lexington citizens.

Death of Mrs Addie Davis Bronaugh in Lexington Mo
Mrs. Addie Davis Bronaugh died at her Calhoun Missouri home on November 24 1908 at about 65. She was the wife of C C Bronaugh and a daughter of the late John R Davis. The family moved from Maryland to Lexington in 1882 and lived there many years. She leaves a sister H K Davis of Mt Sterling Tl and three brothers William H Davis of Windsor Richard of Kansas City and Char Charita W of Windsor. She had many friends among Lexington’s older residents and was known as a strong reader with a remarkable memory.
