Labor Day Celebration in Lexington With Ball Game and Parades
The U M W A of Lexington plans Lexingtons largest Labor Day event on Monday Sept 2 at Harding's Grove hosted by local unions. A consolidated parade balloon ascent and a ball game between the Elks and Gratz Bros is scheduled with admission to the game 25 cents while grounds and parade are free. Prizes for men women and children include shoes cigars clothing and household items for races contests and best displays amid a carnival like program and local merchant prizes.
