General Amusement Company of Cincinnati will supply a week long Lexington street fair lineup starting September 21. Acts include The Bostock Trained Animal Arena Streets of India Dog and Pony Show Temple of Isis Temple of Art and more plus Ferris Wheel Merry-go-round and five free acts twice daily. Narrow escape as boat overturns on Blackwater Creek
James Rankin of the city narrowly escaped drowning while boating with Ovid Sellers, Firman White, and Earl Stier above the dam at McAllister Springs Monday afternoon. Rankin, who could not swim, grabbed Stier, was helped by White and Sellers after the raft overturned, in swift current about fifteen feet deep. The party displayed presence of mind and courage in the emergency.
