Wedding of Marie French Bishop and Perry Talbot Planned
The approaching wedding of Miss Marie French Bishop and Dr. Perry Lee Talbot of Grinnell Iowa to be held August 25 1914 was announced Saturday morning on the talleys when Misses Anne and Nell Marrs entertained about thirty friends at auction bridge. The bride elects color scheme of pink and white was carried in decorations and refreshments. The guest of honor prize went to Miss Bishop while the second prize was awarded to Miss Irene Burgess. Congratulations and best wishes were extended to the couple and guests reported an enjoyable time.

Poage's Shoe Stock Destroyed by Basement Fire
Sunday morning about three o clock a fire was discovered in the Poage's Shoe Store store room. The blaze originated in the basement and firemen quickly extinguished the flames. The entire stock suffered heavy damage from heat smoke and water and was insured.

Robbery at A G Phetzing Home Seized by Police
Last Thursday afternoon about 5 30 o clock burglars entered A G Phetzing s home during his absence and stole 5 50 in cash along with jewelry. Frank Meflowan who lives near Myrick detained a stranger after hearing of the robbery and officers Haberkorn and Pollard arrested Edgar Combs who produced no clear identification. The missing money and jewelry were found on the man.
