James J Hale a longtime Lexington resident since 1833 died Sunday at 11 pm at his niece Mrs J P Hansams home 788 Highland Ave due to old age and debility He was born in Lynchburg Va June 25 1825 and moved to Lexington at age 10 Survived by sister Mrs Fannie James of Tyler Texas and several nieces and nephews Funeral services were conducted by Rev R N Allen at the Hansam home Monday at 3 pm Also noted were the deaths of Ford D Smith and his funeral in Kansas City with services at the Presbyterian church in this city interment Machpelah
