Fly Pest film to be shown by Lafayette doctors
Next Tuesday the Lafayette County Medical Society will hold a free public meeting at City Hall with a micro photographic fly pest demonstration. The program includes magnified flies, breeding places, and infection transfer scenes to educate the public about fly dangers in about fifteen minutes. All are welcome at the Princess Theatre on Franklin Avenue to bring friends.

Quiet City Election Yields Mixed Returns Across Wards
The Tuesday city election passed quietly with no rain needed as results show Jerry Shinn re-elected in the first ward and Harry Mountain retaining the second ward seat by 36 votes. Frank Slaughter won the third ward by 128 votes. John Lierman was re-elected in the fourth ward. Special school tax approved 680 to 222. two and three year terms filled on school board. A long list of local residents made business trips and visits in Lexington and nearby towns.

Charles Reynolds Dies in Middletown Connection
Charles Reynolds, president of the Lexington Gas and Electric Company, died at his Middletown home from a brain hemorrhage. Superintendent Barnard of the company received a telegram Wednesday announcing the death. Reynolds had frequently visited Lexington and was held in high esteem by many friends in the city.
