District Court entertains State charges and foreclosures
In district court this afternoon the judge heard the State versus Olive Mosier and William Roland on adultery charges, with S. S. Deming and Miles S. Johnson as counsel. Weisgerber vs Thompson foreclosures awarded $768.60 to plaintiff, and Ruby vs Ruby divorce awarded $80. Cooley vs Cooley argued, and Small & Emery vs Harriet Morris et al. yielded a mechanics lien closure on the armory building. Representative Farrell and wife arrived from near Winchester. Dr. Collins reports few smallpox cases among Indian charges.

Idaho horse rustlers bound over for district court
Rooke Tipton and Canfield faced a preliminary probate court trial last week in Idaho county for horse stealing and were bound over to district court. A special term of court in Grangeville is expected in June to try the case. Local steesmen believe they have captured the gang’s head and will seek to make an example.

Marriage Unites Miss Louise Alexander and Mr Fred Beckwith
Miss Louise Alexander and Mr Fred Beckwith were married at the bride's home at 6 o clock this morning with Rev J D McConkey officiating. Only family and immediate friends attended. A wedding breakfast followed and the couple left by morning train for Spokane. They plan to visit Portland and Sound cities before returning and will reside in Lewiston.

Body of Stauffer Found in Clearwater River
A body found floating in the Clearwater above Peck is identified as John Stauffer. He was a miner and prospector drowned last December at a ford while crossing with two horses. His body was dislodged by high water and buried at Abjeatke. coroner Vassar investigated and returned.

Polish wheat debunked as new grain myth
The Department of Agriculture reports no such grain as corn wheat. Polish wheat exists but is not native to Poland and likely from the Mediterranean.
