Death of Grandma Williams in Lewiston Idaho
Grandma Williams died at home in Lewiston around 1:30 this morning after a grippe relapse. Born in 1820, she lived in Putnam County Missouri and Idaho with her husbands Thomas Sidwell and Benjamin Williams. Survived by one son Tip, funeral services in the M E church, burial on the hill cemetery, followed by city cleanup notices urging beautification and water use improvements.

Indian heirship land sales begin March thirtieth near Genesee
The Culdesac Register reports the first sale of Indian heirship lands will occur March 30 with bids opened by acting Indian Agent McArthur for a fine So acre tract north of the Rimrock near Genesee. Four more tracts go to auction April 1, then sales every two to three weeks. Prospective purchasers must cover probate costs of estates averaging 50 to 75 dollars per case before titles can be clear. Some owners resist selling until probate, believing titles will fetch higher prices later.
