Andrew Hansen of Placerville arrived from Deadwood City last Tuesday after leaving November 29. He notes many Idahoans were there, Miner excitement from Wolf Mountain merchants with horses, and that prospectors spent seventeen days chasing color without success. He praises Basin as a good location. The Dalles Tribune reports a new U S S boat to replace the Daisy, 176 by 32 feet with 74 feet hold, state rooms, and a planned first trip by April first.
