Republican convention completes its labors with clean ticket

Idaho Republicans closed a heated convention in Boise August 21 approving a full ticket headed by John T. Morrison for governor and Burton L. French for Congress. The platform endorsed tariff revision, trusts regulation, land opening in forest reservations, and opposition to trusts. Nominations were by acclamation and the state central committee was chosen.

Monteith Recital a Noted Lewiston Event of the Night

The Monteith recital in Grangeville drew praise Saturday as Claire Monteith of Lewiston gave a strong performance aided by local talent. Mr Monteith impressed with his voice and progress since last year, while other local numbers pleased. Presbyterian church ladies offered ice cream and cake after the program in the hall rear.
