A Farmers Institute will convene September 28 and 29 in Lemmon under A E Chamberlain of the South Dakota Agricultural College and Institute supervisor. Sessions are set for 1 30 pm on the 28th and 10 30 am and 1 30 pm on the 29th with a possible evening session on the 28th. All interested in local agriculture are urged to attend.

Ed Mathis railroad policeman chased and beat Arthur Thornton a Black traveler in McIntosh South Dakota on Wednesday afternoon.
