Glorious Fourth preparations and parade program

The general committee reports over $1,500 secured with expectations of $500 more. Two day celebration July 5 and 6 features baseball, parades with bands bandsmen and floats, humorous features, civic societies and displays. Committees led by E D Payne plan a full program including a half mile track, dinners, dances, and a Firemen race schedule with events on Main street and pavilion dancing.

Circus Day It Was Great in Lemmon

Circus day in Lemmon drew a large crowd for the Gollmar Circus visit. Thousands attended the parade and matinee with four to five thousand for the afternoon show and a well attended evening performance. Deputies aided by Chief Dan House maintained order amid a few minor incidents, and the day ended on a joyous note.

Quarter Mile Pony Race and Related Events

The notice lists a Quarter Mile Free for All Pony Race with horses in other events barred and purses of 10, 85, and to be followed by Stage Holdup and Sham Battle between Indians and Cowboys. Evening dancing in pavilion under Baseball Association auspices. Estray: first of May, yearling mare colt dark dies out while white cap in brand. 00 eaten easing to recovery. Rev. Jonas P.
