Terrible Death at Claim Home in Fire Tragedy
Mrs. Emily Terry Church wife of Dr. F T Church died in a fire at their claim home near Seim when a five gallon oil can exploded while she attempted to light a stove. The blaze consumed the building and contents. Dr. Church witnessed flames from the barn. Emily Church born 1882 in Chief River Falls Wis later lived in Little Falls Minn and married May 18 last year. She leaves a sorrowing husband and a sister. The body was buried in the local cemetery.

Commercial Club Plans July Fourth Celebration Agenda
The Commercial Club outlined arrangements for a two day Fourth of July celebration on July 5 and 6. Games with the Hettinger ball team are planned for both days and small street events on Main Street. A parade will be a featured highlight with town and country participation. A three member committee Gross Berry Harriman will supervise and finance and appoint other committees.

One hundred five lots sold for a total of 29000 dollars at Morristown public sale. Lemmon band members bought several lots while Auctioneer Hillman led the auction. The townsite sits along the railroad with water from Hay Creek and the Lemmon band entertained at an evening dance.
