Hawley Dies After Illness In City Burial In Minne
Hawley, a longtime Lemmon resident, died upday evening after a lingering illness. His body shipped to Minne for burial, accompanied by Mrs. Hawley. He was born near Ontario, Canada, and spent most of his life in the northwest. The deceased was active in the Methodist church and known for his devotion to people. He leaves a wife, three children in the area, and a sister. Fire damaged a Berry residence in Marshaltown with modest losses. State railway commission ruled express charges must follow interstate lines for Lemmon area. Lemmon club delegates failed to organize a Northwestern Improvement League due to snow. Chas. Frankenburger located a claim near Thunder Hawk. The family then traveled to Eagle Butte for Thanksgiving.
