Lang Stainer's Passion cantata the Crucifixion was performed Sunday afternoon in Reed er. J. Jo Hort led a chorus of about seventy with solos by Hamilton and Hort. The program closed with pieces from Landkjenn ing and The Heavens declare the Creation. The event was deemed an eminent success.

Commercial Club Hears Budget and Plans at Lemmon Meeting
Lemmon Commercial Club held its monthly session with high attendance. A committee will study Main street oiling with road oil and city cleanup plans require citizen effort. Heinrich of the South Dakota Traveling Men's Association reviewed past and upcoming convention work for June 2 and 3. A proposal to cut membership fees from 20 to 11 was discussed and a solicitations committee was formed. Judge C C Carpenter left for Minneapolis for medical treatment. Gross, Mrs. Tillotson, Miss Lyman, and Mr. Hamilton attended.

Farmers arrange grain orders in Adams county
About 150 farmers from eastern Adams County gathered Saturday in town to sign seed grain contracts with county officials Chairman Edmund Ward and Auditor Walter Kelley. The Accident Elevator Co. of Beach will supply most grain, with deliveries from Reeder Bucyrus Hettinger Haynes Petre and Lemmon. Prices set: Wheat 1.45 flax 2.90 oats unknown. Total 20 carloads valued at 26827.70. Grain by location shows wheat oats and flax allocations at Bieder Breyrus and GSR areas.

Jail Break at Perkins County Jail Sees Two Escapees
Saturday evening between 6 and 9, prisoners George Dively and Andrew Parker escaped from Perkins County Jail while Deputy Ellefson was at supper. Sheriff Anderson issued a hunt. Dively, about 40, 5 ft 10 in, 175 pounds, sandy complexion, and Parker, about 20, 5 ft 8 in, 160 pounds, were being sought for thefts. It is suspected outside help aided the break, with a gas pipe and knives left behind.
