Local Caucus Nominates John E. Ross for School Trustee

At Central School house on Saturday night a caucus nominated John E. Ross to succeed James P. Carter as school trustee. Balloting by 71 votes for Ross, 21 for Evans and 2 scattering. final unanimous choice after a motion. Afternoon meeting approved finance report and compensation, and agreed to purchase the north district corner lot from N C Christensen for a new school.

Death of Mrs Priggs After Long Illness

Mrs Hannah Briggs died Friday after a long illness. A Lehi pioneer since 1852 she raised a family with members in Lehi and elsewhere. Quiet and unassuming, she was well spoken of by those who knew her. Funeral held Saturday at her residence with Elder J H on service. remarks by several community members. large cortege to the cemetery.

Beet fields show uneven growth and dry weather impact
