At Central School house on Saturday night a caucus nominated John E. Ross to succeed James P. Carter as school trustee. Balloting by 71 votes for Ross, 21 for Evans and 2 scattering. final unanimous choice after a motion. Afternoon meeting approved finance report and compensation, and agreed to purchase the north district corner lot from N C Christensen for a new school.

Quiet and unassuming, she was well spoken of by those who knew her.
