Alpine Stake Conference marked by large turnout and leadership
One of the Alpine Stake’s largest gatherings took place at the Blake Conference near Lehi Tabernacle with Presiding Bishop L. Chipman and several general authorities present. Attendees filled the afternoon meeting to an actual count of 150 and MI A Stake officers presided in the evening as musical selections accompanied the speakers.

Earl Ashton Hurt In Snowball Incident
Earl Ashton a 1a year old boy was struck by a half pound rock fragment during a snowball fight. Karl behind the fence was hit as well. Doctors Holbrook and Stookey treated a upper lip injury with two teeth broken and jaw damage. He is recovering as expected given the severity.

Sheep Headed for Desert From Lehi and Welfare Sale
Sheep owned by Heber Land and Livestock Co. and partners Albert and M. A. Smith moved from the reservation through Lehi toward the desert due to severe spow shortages. The migration required heavy labor to break trails and remove them from woun bins. A freight train incident near Batanday delayed traffic briefly but caused no injuries.
