Goetz of Pecos Valley praises Lehi progress after a factory boom. The bank began with 50 000 capital and now holds 63 000 in deposits with a 3000 surplus. Farmers dominate deposits and 5 percent interest on time accounts marks the thriving credit scene.

Two eminent Russians Mr Schinaler of the Russian department of agriculture and Mr Gardinine visited the local sugar factory. They inspect and study U.S. methods, noting large farms and beet seed importance. Gardinine owns 15 000 acres and plants 25 pounds of seed per acre. They plan several weeks in the east before returning to Russia.
