Leavenworth Sportsmens Spring Shoot Succeeds
Leavenworth Sportsmens Association held its first big shoot of the season on March 14 with ideal weather. Twenty six shooters entered with seventeen completing all ten events and a luncheon served by Charley Eckhart. Official scores listed with deductions show many top marks and prizes awarded for six events. Officers elected include H. G. Krollpfeiffer as president and A. Pinch as vice president.

Too Many Wives End in Suspected Suicide Attempt
Calvin Gilmer son of C W Gilmer of 424 Sinto avenue is near death in San Francisco from a self inflicted bullet wound amid a tangle of divorce cases. He had been divorced here two months earlier by his first wife the former Remand. She testified he married her to win a bet and the Seattle marriage was annulled after learning the Idaho divorce was not granted. Gilmer, educated locally and once an auto mechanic, prompted his father to travel to San Francisco to aid his son.

Bank president to bring in purebred cattle from North Dakota
F A Sinclair, president of the Leavenworth State Bank, will leave Sunday for North Dakota to buy carloads of livestock to sell to local farmers and ranchers. Orders are in for most of the stock and delivery will occur on arrival. The shipment will include cattle and hogs, mainly Shorthorn cattle, with other breeds possible.
