Mr LaChapelle of the Thos Pattison ranch was hit by a lightning bolt Monday evening as he poured tea. The blast toppled furniture and knocked him unconscious, breaking two ribs. The tea pot shattered and melted, and one glasses rim fused around the lens before he recovered.
