Girl Killed in Cashmere Auto Accident Near Home
Laura Schumaker twelve daughter of Mr and Mrs Anton Schumaker Cashmere was instantly killed Sunday when a Ford touring car went down a bank near their home rolling three times Mrs Schumaker and Laura were passengers Henry Moore drove the car and Raymond Pippin rode on the left footboard Mrs Moore suffered cuts and bruises Moore injured slightly Pippin unharmed Laura was their only child and the Schumaker family is left suddenly alone.

Northrup fined for liquor possession in Wenatchee court

Hay Barns Burn At Elliott Ranch On Eagle Creek
Sunday forenoon the two hay barns on the Elliott ranch near Eagle Creek burned to the ground while the renters were away. The loss covers about twenty five tons of hay valued at 25 dollars a ton and barn loss around 1000 dollars. The fire’s cause is unknown with a possible hot charcoal scale from a truck engine. The day’s insurance had lapsed last fall per agent Eliott, drawing local reproach.
