Merrill Record Music Program Opens With Busy Weekend
Merrill Record notes the fall launch of the Merrill Music Program with a busy schedule: the Ag Days Parade, Old Settlers picnic performances, and concerts led by Frank Waggoner. Students attained prizes in amateur contests, with Nancy Ruddy and Phyllis Galyen earning honors in piano trumpet and drum, while Phyllis Galyen also earned baton honors. Music Director Merrill will join a 30 voice chorus in the forthcoming Hands Pardner production by Shrivers of Sioux City, featuring a large cast, dancers, and a western band.
