Wed 50 Years Special Granville Couple Celebrate 55th
Mr and Mrs M H H Perlot celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary at home in Granville on Sunday November 22 1898 starting at noon. The couple married at St Marys church Alton by Rev F J Brune and began farming near Granville. They later moved to Granville in 1911 and ran the Perlot Hotel and Cafe. They are parents of two children and have four great grandchildren and two grandchildren. Family and friends including Matt Perlot and others from Alton Bancroft Omaha join the event.

John Hart notes heavy rains and floods washed away nests and left mostly very young birds, explaining the shortage while other counties fare better. Vernon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Avalt Voss, is at Cherry Point North Carolina after time in Memphis Tennessee. Delwyn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Asmussen, remains in Memphis. Vernon recalls a near fatal hit run incident in junior year and reconnects with fellow Le Mars friends from Clarence Stephenson Seney Wan John Steenhoven and Gene Kolker. A reunion in San Diego preceded training in Jacksonville and assignments in Memphis and Cherry Point. Vernon plans to visit Washington DC and Johnny Grauser of the FBI in retirement.
