Mrs Agnes Ladenberger longtime Mars resident died May 16 1956 at Sacred Heart hospital after a five day stay. In Mayor's court this week Maurice Freshan paid 19 dollars for improper parking and Max Wetherall 7.50 for improper lights. An accident was reported involving Marie Lutjens driving a 1953 Plymouth east on Plymouth Street turning left on Central Avenue and Albert Rounds in a 1951 Chevrolet who failed to stop in time. The Rounds car front and Lutjens car right side were damaged.

Mr and Mrs Dutste mins of Oranue City were awarded 12500 in no damages against the Iowa state highways commission this week in district court in City. The couple owners of the Quality Trailer Company sat on Medway 7S near the Ray Cowan sale barn and sued for 20000 for damages after the highway commission condemned ground they had leased for their business. They had eleven years to run on the lease at the time of condemnation and had previously been awarded 8000 for the loss of a small office building on the leased property.
