Pheasant Crashes Windshield Near Hospers
Mrs. Joe Verschoor of Hospers was badly cut when a pheasant shattered the car windshield about three miles north of Hospers on a Sunday evening. She was taken to a Sheldon hospital for glass splinter removal and several teeth damaged but later released. Mr. Verschoor and the children escaped injury though were splattered with blood from the bird.

The Rev Mio Bjork, a Westmar College graduate and Drake University student, was ordained in 1946 and has served as pastor in Evangelical United Brethren churches. He now moves to Kentucky as missionary for the General Board of Missions to organize and establish a community department in mission schools and serve as minister.
