Veteran Plymouth farmer Frank E Rollins Dies at 59
Frank E Rollins 59 a retired Plymouth county farmer died Tuesday at his home after several years of illness. Born February 25 1895 at Mattle Creek Louisiana he married Edna Berner February 23 1920 in Sioux City. He lived in Battle Creek and Sioux City before moving to Plymouth county in 1918 and later to Le Mars in 1948. Survived by widow a son Virgil in California a daughter Carol Rollins of Le Mars two sisters Mrs Mary Loraditch and Mrs Ralph Berrer of Sioux City a brother Alva Rollins of Westfield and grandchildren Linda Lee Kathy Jo Rollins. Military funeral services were held May 13 at 2 00 pm at the Ma funeral home Le Mars with Rev Clawson officiating Burial was in Le Mars city cemetery under direction of Mausers. He belonged to Evangelical United Brethren church Le Mars Walmer Post American Legion and was a World War I veteran. He was also a member of the Elks club.

Plymouth County Pioneer Angeline Grothaus Dies at 94
Angeline Grothaus longtime Plymouth county resident died at Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars Wednesday May 12 after nine months as a patient. Born September 8, 1862 in Freeport Illinois she came to Iowa with her parents in a covered wagon. She married J. G. Grothaus October 20, 1882 and settled on a farm southeast of Kemsen. Funeral services will be at St Paul Evangelical Lutheran church Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment Kingsley cemetery under Moeller funeral home Remsen direction. Survivors include five sons and two daughters with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A single car crash Thursday May 13 at 1 30 a m near Le Mars limits involved Clem Cunningham driving a 1951 Buick. He crossed the highway and was forced into an abutment, damaging the right fender and door after a collision with an oncoming truck and crack ws.

The Dodge Firearrow sports roadster, built on a 19 inch Dodge Red Ram V-8 chassis, will be displayed May 14 to 16 at Whelan Motors on US 75 South in Le Mars Iowa.
