Death of Chris F. Schieuer at 78 in Cherokee Indiana

Chris F. Schieuer aged 78 died Sunday morning in a Cherokee Indiana hospital. Born May 8, 1878 in Dubuque Indiana, he moved with family to Moville at age 32 and lived in Woodbury and Plymouth counties. He married Agnes Scheelhoase on November 1, 1906. she died in 1943. Survived by five daughters, two sons, a sister, 34 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Kingsley. burial Arlington Cemetery Moville. rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Roy Schieuer’s Kingsley. Burial under Dickson funeral home Kingsley.

Le Mars Coach Clyde Buchler Refuses Contract

Capt William G. McKee of Lion Cats, son of Mrs William G. McKee of Le Mars, led a United States Air Force rescue team from Fuerstenfeldbruck Germany to the Italian Apennines Saturday night. The team tracked a missing American military plane and found a Polish refugee who confessed to fabricating the wreck claim. The refugee spoke little English and wore an American uniform to cross borders.
