Plane crash kills Sioux City man Myers at farm site
Robert G. Myers, 44, of 2301 Summit street Sioux City died when his light Cessna 193 exploded and crashed on the Fred Laetare farm southeast of Wyoming Iowa after noon Thursday. An aviation safety agent cited structural difficulty as the probable cause amid a thunderstorm. Myers a pharmacist and co owner of Lloyd and Myers prescription shop in Sioux City was a Le Mars figure. His widow and parents survive along with three brothers and three sisters. Funeral arrangements were delayed pending body release to Heaton Westcott funeral home. Construction of Cherokee’s new pool slated to begin mid April with bid opening April 3.
