County Democratic Convention Set for June 29 at Fort Des Moines
Democratic County Chairman Dr RK Joynt and Vice Chair Hazel Manning announce a county convention at the courthouse 10:00 A M Friday June 29 to elect delegates to the State Convention at Kant Theater Des Moines July 31 and to select district, judicial, and congressional delegates as required by Iowa code sections 43 94 and 43 97. Delegates must list names and addresses to State Headquarters.

Couple Weds After California Honeymoon Near Moville
The bride and groom married in a ceremony with the bride Miss Barbara Means and Miss Jean Wolbers as friends, the couple planning to farm near Moville after a two week trip to California. The bride graduated from Central High School in Le Mars and Joseph's Mercy School of Nursing. the groom attended St. Joseph's High School and is a farmer. Guests assisted with gifts and cake cutting and serving duties.

Tentinger Named Commander Of Wasmer Post In Election Win
Gordon Tentinger was elected commander of Wasmer post American Legion at an officer election held Wednesday night. He previously served as adjutant. Leo T. Flaherty is outgoing commander. Other new officers include Daryl McCormick as 1st vice commander Vernell C. Perry as 2nd vice commander Robert Walsh as adjutant and the finance officers Paul Trauffer historian Helen Wiltgen sargeant at arms Pete Stoos trustee John Byers Norbert Ruba Frank Wilhelma Warren Hardacre Elwoog Grau William Reuter Leo Hughes Doc Utesch and Dick Masuen named to the executive committee. Also listed is Specialist Fourth Class Elvin R. Hamilton of Hawarden serving in the 4th Infantry Division in Germany as a mess sergeant in Battery C, 42nd Field Artillery Battalion, who entered service in July 1954. He arrived in Europe January 1955 and is a Hawarden High School graduate. His wife Joyce accompanies him in Germany.
