Graduation Under Clear Skies At LeMoirs Public High
About 4500 spectators gathered at Le Mours open air amphitheater for the seventy sixth annual graduation of Le Mours public high school. Weather was favorable with cooling temperatures and clear skies as 90 seniors in cap and gown received diplomas from Principal Frank A. Landreth. Dr Leo K Bishop of Chicago addressed the class on Life’s Greatest Lesson, urging self understanding, cooperation with others, and accepting responsibility. The ceremony featured music by the school band and glee club directed by Ira P Schwarz Jr and Ruth Carothes.

Judge Rules Gaffey Not Driving Drunk

Clarence Baker 37 of Le Mars won a 1957 Rambler door prize at the Drum and Bugle Corp dance in the Le Mars armory.
