Marlo June, 24, of Merrill, La, was injured in a one car crash near Pipestone when his vehicle plunged into water after a washed away bridge. He suffered multiple broken ribs, a fractured leg, and deep facial gashes. Volunteers freed him after a three hour effort. An sheriff’s investigation seeks motive for barricade removal.

Mary Schaul Funeral Services in Allen

Mary Schaul, 58, died after several months of illness in Dubuque Iowa. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 1 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Allen at 9 am with Father Zeno Bering officiating. Burial in St Mary's Cemetery. She had lived in Dubuque since 1940 and previously in Row. She never married and is survived by two sisters, several sisters and brothers and step siblings in multiple states. The body was taken to St Mary's Chapel Monday afternoon for visitation.

Anna A Nanninga 72 lifelong Plymouth county resident died Friday after a seven week illness in Le Mars Iowa She was born December 13 1884 near Struble married Conrad F Nanninga December 28 1903 They farmed in Plymouth county except 1910 to 1918 in South Dakota They retired to Le Mars in November 1949 Mr Nanninga died in 1935 Survivors include three daughters Mrs Roy Albert of Le Mars Mrs Melvin Moch of Santa Clara California Mrs Jack Hinde of Denver three sons Lloyd Le Mars Orville San Luis Obispo California Gahif Sacramento two brothers three sisters 17 grandchildren seven great grandchildren Funeral services were at 2 pm today at the First Methodist Church with Rev R V Gildner officiating Burial was in city cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

89th Birthday Observance For Mrs Olive Howton

Mrs Olive Jane Howton, aged 73 89 years, will observe her birthday next Sunday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr and Mrs William Richmond of Lincoln.
