A four lane highway crash near Hinton killed Bert Metland 71 and Mrs. Anna Matson 69 of Sioux City instantly, while Lonnie Williamson of Adel Iowa was badly injured and treated at St Josephs hospital in Sioux City. Darrel Hageman 18 of Hinton was involved as he attempted to pass another car. the collision sent vehicles into a bridge abutment and over the bridge edge.
