Clyde McKee sues Elsie Stotz over a motor vehicle collision on May 15 1953 on highway 3 and 5 near Akron. McKee claims he followed the defendant’s car operated by her son Kenneth Storz age 16. the defendant’s car was he- and continues in a legal action seeking damages.
The City Council of Le Mars Iowa designates the Funds of the City as public funds and lists Le Mars Savings Bank and First National Bank as depositories with maximum deposits of 120000 each. The resolution was adopted January 6 1957 and published January 28 1957 in the Le Mars Globe Post.
Le Mars Iowa adopts Resolution No A for the 1957 fiscal year covering general fund streets public safety sanitation municipal enterprises recreation utilities debt service and street construction with total estimated receipts of 268000.00 and specific appropriations including city hall pay rolls buildings and snow removal plus police fire sewer and library salaries and park and pool funding. I. M. Long mayor signs the document.
Akron businessmen supported the Norka Theatre reopening by pledging monthly ticket purchases to cover expenses. A. C. Kiemme leased and reopened the venue months ago hoping public attendance would grow and end subsidies. Despite quality films and efforts, sufficient patronage has not materialized to sustain operations.

January 28 at 8 AM Wilma Miller in a 1949 Plymouth Noah collided with a 1947 Chevrolet pickup driven east by Cal Kohler near Ard Avenue and 7th Street with slight damage to both vehicles.

Musicians in Le Mars area are invited to call Ira Schwarz for details, with string players especially sought.
