Mrs. Elizabeth Hauschild Rites Held For longtime Le Mars teacher
Funeral services for Elizabeth Hauschild 56 who died Friday at the hospital will be held Tuesday at St John American Lutheran church. Burial follows in Grant township Lutheran cemetery near Le Mars. Mrs Hauschild taught in Nebraska and Plymouth county rural schools before moving to Le Mars in 1937. She leaves her husband John a son Leonard of Le Mars a daughter Arlene Olson of Mo and five grandchildren. She was born January 20 1897 at Valley Junction Iowa and was survived by five siblings.

Two-car crashes clog town streets on January 25
Three separate wrecks occurred Sunday afternoon and morning at First Street and Second Avenue. Ronald Utecht in a 1949 Dodge stopped at a light when Walter Albrecht in a 1940 Hudson rear-ended him, causing $25 and $150 damages. John Kruse in a 1950 DeSoto met Herman Jeffers’s car in icy conditions at Second Ave and Fourth St. Kruse sustained unspecified damage while Jeffers’s car slid into him. Peter Von Hagel in a 1950 Chevrolet northbound collided with Charles McManus in a 1951 Mercury at First St and Second Ave N W. both were traveling about 15 mph.

Akron Farmer Arthur Adams Dies After Long Illness
Arthur Adams of Akron died January 24 at Akron hospital after a long heart condition. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church Akron with Rev. T. Earle Starke officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery under Lewison Funeral Home direction. Adams born January 29, 1882 in Illinois was 71. He married Carrie Riggs on September 6, 1915 at Elk Point South Dakota.
