In district court Standard Oil Company files suit against Victor Ledgerwood and Mrs Victor Ledgerwood formerly of Kingsley now Polk County for 197.84 for goods delivered. New Visiting Rules Set for Sacred Heart Hospital Le Mars

Iowa health officials endorse strict visiting hours at Sacred Heart Hospital Le Mars with limited hours 2 to 4 pm and 7 30 to 8 30 pm. No visitors under 14 on patient floors except patients. Maximum two visitors at a time, short visits. Surgical patients barred for three days. obstetric visitors limited to father and grandparents. Koehler Bank Stock Is Sold

The First National Bank in Le Mary, long run by the Koehler family, changes hands as the late R J Koehler estate sells all stock to Clyde Eastman Oscar Fristad and John Alesch. Koehler, president from 1934 until health declined, marks the end of the family’s association with the bank while Eastman Fristad and Alesch bring extensive service histories to the institution.

Basic Skills Test Schedule for Plymouth County Schools

The Iowa Basic Skills Tests will be administered this month in Plymouth County and across Iowa public schools. Rural and town pupils from fourth through eighth grades, plus some kindergarten, will take tests at designated centers on specific January dates with sessions split into reading, language, arithmetic, and work skills. Oscar Keeps Flying The Mail

Oscar Asmussen of route 2 Le Mars sold 220 acres south of Te Marts on the blacktop to Fried Rathsack of Pawson Iowa in Woodbury County. Rathsack pays 4340 per acre and will take possession March 1. Asmussen plans ranch-store construction and houses with help from his daughters. He has lived on the present farm ten years, bought from the Kurt estate, and will continue to fly the mail to autoing parts of the county for the Globe-Post each Tuesday and Friday morning.

Car Collisions Reported Friday in Plymouth and Central Areas

Friday incidents on Plymouth Street and Central Avenue involve multiple drivers. Tawrence Norton Jr and Burton Parsiatt collide at an intersection causing left side and front damage to Norton and Parsiatt vehicles. Girl Dies In Auto Accident Near Stout City

Miss Barbara Wiener, 16, of Sioux City, died when a machine driven by Gerald Patterson, 19, of South Sioux City, rolled over in a ravine park at the south edge of Stout City on New Year’s Day. Patterson was arraigned at 9 a.m. Saturday in Swany City on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
