The 1954 Le Mars high school Student Forum centers on Home and Family and runs February 25 and 26. About 500 parents, friends, and special education staff gathered Friday at Le Mars High School to hear Maslin Roll of Fort Dodge describe Southbury Training School in Connecticut. He cited living conditions, schooling, and training, showing weaving by students. Roll, a special education supervisor for Hamilton and Webster counties, sits on the Association for Retarded Children board. A statewide parents’ meeting to form a temporary organization is planned March 12 in Sheldon. Last week a partnership was announced at Kingsley in the veterinary practice with Dr W F E Brown taking a junior partner, Dr M A Norby of West Point Nebraska. Norby, known in Pierson, formerly practiced with Dr All Malle, then moved via Anthon to West Point. The Norbys will move to Kingsley soon after buying a house there while Brown remains at St Joseph Hospital Sioux City for surgery postponed. Mr and Mrs Greg Featherstone have returned to assist son Loren Featherston of Hot Springs Arkansas. Dr and Mrs Norman Mauer are in Minneapolis for a dental meeting.
