The Rev. Robert Kuschbauni, formerly assistant pastor of St My, traveled by air to Remsen last Friday for the funeral rites of Anthur Schiver. He telephoned friends the night before and planned to meet the plane at about 8. Dr Bates watched for the landing. Craig Smith built in Algona piloted the plane, landing west of Sunnyside addition. The Hover graveside service was conducted by Father Eischbaum before he left for Algona. the trip covered about 100 miles in 48 minutes.

Gus Knorr Rounds Relatives Learn of Death in Minnesota
Gus Knorr, a longtime Caniry fived six resident, died at age over 60 in Minnesota after a period of illness. He was survived by his wife and twelve children. Son Bob returned from Germany on emergency leave and was home the day before the funeral. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church in Fuldis on Monday.
