Fire Lakeland Blaze Destroys Sellberg Farm Home
Firefighters battled a blaze at the Walfred Forslund residence on the Sellberg farm near Akron after dawn on Monday. A water shortage hampered efforts. regular supply from a stock tank and a converted transport truck arrived too late to save the two story barge home. The Forslunds and neighbors aided, and a smaller rental house on the farm was spared for the family to move into. The fire underscores the need for adequate water storage at rural properties to improve firefighting effectiveness.
