Annual Plymouth County 4-H Fair Opens In Le Mars With Busy Judging

Crowds packed the Le Mars fairgrounds as judging wrapped by 2:30 p.m. in the F H A and Girl's 4 H. Entries across hog, sheep, and horse divisions drew attention. A new ladies and gentlemen's restroom debuted, while judges and 4 H clubs showcased projects and programs through Tuesday with many junior and senior teams listed in the day by day lineup.

Neptune Area Seeks Bus Service For Schoolchildren

St Josephs parish Neptune church in Lincoln township holds meetings on schooling for children many of whom could attend Gehlen school in Le Mars if bus transport were offered. Parents show willingness to pay while a few oppose free bus service and will drive their children themselves. Father A W Behrens, former Gehlen head and now diocesan superintendent, is pastor, to be succeeded by Father Alvey.

Bathhouse opens at Iowa 4-H camp swimming pool

Crash on Highway 75 injures none near Le Mars

Milo Manning of Le Mars and Anton Koopman of Sibley had cars damaged about 8 15 p m Sunday on highway 75 south of Le Mars during a no storm. Koopman drove a 1959 Ford with his wife. Manning had a 1950 Mercury with his wife and three children. Both vehicles left the road. damages estimated at 50 each. The sheriff s office investigated.
