May baskets delivery leads to hospital transfer in Iowa City
A 6 year old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Dick Frerichs of Mars, was taken to the State University Hospital in Iowa City after tripping on a new walk and fracturing a bone Wednesday night while delivering May baskets. A church event follows on May 7 at 2 pm in the parish hall with hostess Silas Means and Mrs Ray Sinning. Everyone is welcome.

Sister Mary Renee Injured in Cherokee Car Truck Crash
Sister Mary Renee Sacred Heart hospital administrator was injured in a Wednesday morning crash near Cherokee and transferred by ambulance to Sacred Heart here Thursday afternoon. X rays check potential pelvic injury and she has a shouter sprain. Her condition is good. Three Briar Cliff college nuns were also injured. one released from Sioux Valley Memorial in Cherokee, two transferred to Sacred Heart here with Sister Renee.
