The Le Mars Rotary Club presents the second travel and adventure film, Sweden, shown Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Ed Lark narrates and photographed Sweden over a year. Season tickets cover three films: India February 12 and Central America April 15.

Mrs James Bushby age 20 and her son died when her eastbound car collided with Adrian Hoekstra and his vehicle six miles east of Hawarden on highway 110. Hoekstra, a former Hawarden resident, also died. Bushby had been taking her husband to work at Truesdell Motor Co Hawarden. Hoekstra worked at a Hawarden garage and ready mix concrete plant. Also injured at Wells Blue Bunny project site when a steel beam fell on Dick Hinken after a Wiltgen Construction Co crew. He was treated at Sacred Heart Hospital with multiple cuts and bruises, no fractures suspected. Retelling: funeral held in Minneapolis for Maj. Gen. Norman Hendrickson, former chief of staff of the 4th Infantry Division. Interment at Fort Snelling. Hendrickson died last Thursday. Le Mars Co. K veterans attended. United Church Women.
The United Church Women of Le Mars and the Le Mars Ministerial association plan five Lenten sessions on communism. Beginning Feb 26, weekly talks will feature Rev and Mrs Kaupins of Sioux Center, Dr Golden Thompson of Westmar, Dr J Richard Palmer of Morningside College, plus local panels.
