Effa Nichols dies in Omaha at 48
Mrs. Effa Nichols wife of Wu F Nichols died in Omaha at 8 30 p m Sunday of pelvic peritonitis after illness. She had lived in Marshalltown recently where Nichols worked as fireman for the M and St L railroad. Born Effa E Thompson December 1 1880 at Green Mountain she grew up mainly in LeGrand. She married Wm F Nichols January 6 1902 in Marshalltown and is survived by three children Harold Marjorie and Kenneth. Funeral held at LeGrand Friends church Thursday at 1 00 conducted by Rev J R Wright with a morning service at the home and burial at Pleasant Hill cemetery. Several local relatives noted visiting and callers in the area.
