Cosa Nostra Murder Charged to Two Men in Long Island
Suffolk County grand jury indicted Anthony Reina and John Battista for first degree murder in the Aug 9 slaying of Brooklyn hoodlum Louis Mariani in Port Jefferson. Battista and Regina face an assault charge for wounding Francis Getch in the same incident. Police say the hit may have targeted Salvatore Mangiamelli, a Gallo lieutenant, whose wife rode in the car and escaped injury.
