Sunday School Lesson by William E Gilroy D D

Sunday School Lesson by William E Gilroy D D discusses the Epistles of the New Testament excluding Paul and compares Hebrews James Peter and John. It notes scholarly movement to omit Paul’s authorship and highlights common faith in Jesus as Messiah, belief in salvation, resurrection, and the Holy Spirit. It contrasts James emphasis on works with Paul on faith and notes John’s theme of brotherly love and Peter’s idea of partakers of the divine nature.

Unity of Judaism and Christianity through Jesus as Messiah

The writer argues that Paul and Hebrews share conviction in Jesus as Messiah, uniting Jewish tradition with New Testament revelation. Paul emphasizes doctrine while Hebrews highlights Jesus as priest and fulfillment of ritual law. Mutual respect, peace, and goodwill should govern Jew Christian relations despite differing beliefs.
