Oklahoma NAACP removes seven Oklahoma execs over youth chapters
Oklahoma City NAACP leader Claude Foster says the regional decision to oust all seven Oklahoma executive committee members stems from the state having only five youth chapters, one short of the six required. The move aims to strengthen the state group with a sixth youth chapter already in progress as officials plan a regional call to map governance until new officers are elected in November. Local branches, including Lawton, stress the action does not affect community chapters or the NAACP advocacy work.
