City motorist stranded in rising flood waters rescue
Ramona McGuire, a mother from the city, was stranded when floodwaters trapped her vehicle near Wal-Mart on Northwest Quanah Parker Trailway. She and her son had escaped the daycare chaos as bystanders and police were urged to help. She pushed the car free, describing a downhill struggle and noting she did her own mechanical work as she waited for the water to recede.
