Gas costs bite as travel climbs for Lawton Kaas team
Burk, coach of the self funded Lawton Kaas team, says rising gas costs hit travel for tournaments in Oklahoma City and Tulsa with possible trips to Dallas or Kansas. He estimates each vehicle may spend 40 to 50 dollars monthly, adding up into spring and summer. Local motorists report tighter fueling, with one resident saying a 20 dollar fill goes less distance than before.
