Sunshine Tavern Closed by Court After Hearing
Dist. Judge Jack Brock ordered the sheriff to padlock the California Sunshine Club at 2615 Cache Road as a public nuisance after a three day hearing. Lawton City Council sought the injunction citing lewd dancing, obscene acts, gambling, drunkenness, and minors permitted inside the club. The operator Ann Logsdon was chided by the judge who warned of stricter standards for decency and morals in local taverns.
